Grand Hotel Minerva’ new rooms

There have been a lot of new happenings here at the Grand Hotel Minerva in the last couple years. Little by little, we've been giving ourselves a make-over. First we redid the entire top-floor terrace, including the area around the swimming pool and our new 360° roof bar, opened last summer. Exhibition: “Power and Pathos: Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenist World.”

The Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi has opened another fascinating exhibition called "Power and Pathos: Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenist World," open until June 21, 2015.

The exhibition tells the story of artistic developments in the Hellenist age, from the 4th to 1st centuries BCE, achieved through the use of bronze, which made it possible to create dynamic, full-figure statues and bring naturalism to their portraits, focusing on psychological expression. Per cena siamo stati da La Buona Novella, il ristorante del Grand Hotel Minerva, per provare il menù “La Brace” ideato dallo chef Tommaso Calonaci.
