Having accepted the invitation we received from the Lorenzo de' Medici (LdM) cooking school in Florence, at 1:00 pm on a Friday, I headed to the upper floor of the Mercato Centrale to take part in its “A pranzo con lo Chef” [Lunch with the chef] class.

The Taste fair, in its tenth year, has comes to a close once again. For three days (March 7 to 9), Stazione Leopolda was bustling with 320 exhibitors from around the world. This year was once again a booming success and well attended. Everyone's going to Pescheria San Pietro… but not to buy a trout like its name — meaning fish shop in Italian — might suggest, but to have a nice meal of fresh pasta and great seafood. Grand Hotel Minerva is chock full of surprises this summer. We did work on our rooftop to turn it into two beautiful terraces, called Pool & Solarium Terrace and Chiostri Terrace. We are happy to make some big announcements: our swimming pool now features more room for lounge chairs and a jacuzzi, and we have a brand new bar, 360 Three–Sixty.
