“Da Pescatore” restaurant

If you’re looking for somewhere to go for a special occasion, a romantic dinner or just to treat yourself nice, the “Da Pescatore” restaurant is the place to go.



As soon as you come in, you’ll be impressed by the column shaped like a champagne glass for the special panache it gives the place!
The reception was superb. As soon as we were seated, we couldn’t fail to notice how much privacy and space there is between each table.
And then we noticed something funny: was the table really not set?! The maitre d’, Alessandro, who welcomed us, told us that this is intentional as there is no need to clutter the table with too many things. The waiters would bring us what we need depending on the dishes we chose.
So we can start our “taste journey,” choosing from the menu only the number of dishes.





The first course is an original shredded scampi to be “elegantly” eaten with our hands. Next stop on our culinary experience was a ultra fresh selection of raw seafood. Rapturous, we could hardly wait to try another dish. Out came the fish and seasonal vegetable soup and then an octopus on creamed potatoes, cooked in two different styles, one fried and one grilled. Yet the most unusual and satisfying flavor of the night was the cream of broad beans with hot pepper ice cream, served with a glass holding the exact opposite…the waiter told us how the chef suggested trying the dish! Everything was exquisite, but if if I had to choose a first place among all the delicacies, it would go, in my humble opinion, to a superlative dish of spaghetti with sea urchin!






photo9I was already happy and satiated, but Alessandro suggested I try a dessert, so I leafed through the delightful menu and chose a ricotta and pear mousse.



I can’t but suggest everyone go there to enjoy a fantastic evening in the company of good food and excellent wine in a fascinating location.
