Our new tapas happy hour

Grand Hotel Minerva is chock full of surprises this summer. We did work on our rooftop to turn it into two beautiful terraces, called Pool & Solarium Terrace and Chiostri Terrace. We are happy to make some big announcements: our swimming pool now features more room for lounge chairs and a jacuzzi, and we have a brand new bar, 360 Three–Sixty. Our 360 bar was launched on June 24th for the Feast of St. John (Florence’s patron saint), and our new tapas happy hour, Time4tapas kicked off too.

The Pool & Solarium Terrace is for the exclusive use of guests who sleep at the hotel until 6:30 pm. The pool itself, which is on this side, remains open only to guests staying at our hotel.

The Chiostri Terrace and its Rooftop Bar are open to the public all day (from 11:00 am to midnight) with the option of enjoying a delicious, fresh snack selection from noon until 6:00 pm). And from 6:30pm on…it’s time for tapas!

Every evening, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, you can choose from a long menu of cocktails made by our bartenders to enjoy with a plate of tapas, samplers made especially by our kitchen. Each plate has three tapas and is different every evening. It costs €5 per mini-tray.

Our chef, Sandro Pedica, creates different tapas every day, dreaming up new combinations of flavors to pair with your favorite drink. You can come back every evening for a week and never find the same tapas twice.

Want a few examples of the delicious things our chef is creating for you? Here you go: Tzatziki with cucumbers and crunchy vegetables – Cream of melon with shrimp tails in mint – Truffle ricotta mousse with crunchy vegetables – Marinated sea bass with toasted bread with butter – Octopus carpaccio with tomato, arugula and lemon – Sushi with soy and ginger – Tuna balls with two-color sesame – Gazpacho with spicy croutons.


If you want to enjoy our terraces for an after-dinner drink, the bar is open until midnight with a great selection of high quality Italian and French sparkling wines as well as spirits and reserves.

Per la stagione estiva cerchiamo personale di sala (Chef de Rang e Commis) con esperienza di almeno 1 anno nella medesima posizione in hotel di lusso, spirito collaborativo e abilità nelle relazioni interpersonali. Buona conoscenza della lingua inglese, massima disponibilità. Completano il profilo la conoscenza di una seconda lingua straniera. Possesso dell’attestato HACPP per attività semplici.
