Gucci and Ferragamo Museums in Florence

Florence has a lot to offer fashion connoisseurs...Who wouldn't be totally entranced by Via Tornabuoni and its gorgeous palazzi! So, I thought, "Today I'm going to visit Ferragamo and Gucci museums and compare the histories of these two extremely important brands that shaped the birth of fashion in Florence and beyond! I was dazzled by Palazzo Spini Ferroni, owned by the Ferragamo family and where the Salvatore Ferragamo museum was established in 2006. Through April 2014, a fabulous show is up

Perfect for romantic dinners

Dining in one of Florence's finest squares is a one-of-a-kind experience! Piazza Santa Maria Novella is a magnificent setting. Our restaurant "Al Fresco" is perfect for romantic dinners or an evening with friends, or even more formal occasions and work meetings! As I wasn't sure what to choose from the menu, I took the advice of our maître Pietro, and chose the sampler menu with two appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and two desserts for €59 per person, including wine. Tour of Chianti: In the Land of the Black Rooster

On Sunday, July 7, I had the pleasure of taking part in the tour organized by Caf Tours called "Excursion in Chianti with Wine Tastings". I decided to try it out a few nights ago. The place is called BVeg Bistrò. My curiosity was first piqued with the name that the owner Massimiliano decided to give his restaurant where beer and vegetarian and vegan specialties are in an original marriage. Massimiliano, who has been a vegetarian for years,

Historic Florentine Soccer: Rossi – Bianchi Semifinal

Once again this June in Florence, like every year, there was Historic Florentine Soccer. Hotel Minerva closely followed the event this year, as it is located in one of Florence's four historic districts. This is what happened. On Saturday, June 15, I finally got to go to see a match of "Historic Florentine Soccer" for the first time since I've lived here. Facing off in the first semi-final were the "Rossi" (Reds) of Santa Maria Novella (which is the one I was rooting for as their area includes
